Do you love all things fall? If you do, you won't want to miss out on these fall festivals. This is a list of some of the most fun and most unique fall festivals in the United States. Are there any in your town or a town near you? Check out the list and plan your trips accordingly. Don't forget, autumn technically lasts until December. The first day of fall is September 22 and goes until December 21. 1. Leavenworth Oktoberfest Facebook Leavenworth, Washington is a cute, Bavarian-style small town. Every year they host an Oktoberfest in October that features food, fun and live music around town. The dates for 2018 are weekends in October including October 5-6, 12-13, and 19-20. 2. New Hampshire Pumpkin Festival Facebook In Laconia, New Hampshire, they celebrate all things pumpkin! If you love pumpkins, you won't want to miss their insanely cool jack-o'-lantern tower. They also have beer tents, live music, and activities for the kids. This year it happens on October 12-13, 2018. 3. Circleville Pumpkin Show Facebook If you live closer to Ohio, head to Circleville, Ohio for their pumpkin show on October 17-20, 2018. There will be parades, fall foods, and lots of displays of pumpkins, squash, and gourds everywhere in town. 4. Trailing of the Sheep Festival Facebook If you love sheep, you won't want to miss this one! In Idaho, specifically in Sun Valley, Ketchum, and Hailey, you can watch the relocation of livestock from the mountains to their winter pasture. The towns celebrate and watch as the streets fill with sheep! It happens on October 10-14, 2018. 5. Adirondack Balloon Festival Facebook In Glens Falls, New York, you can either ride in a hot air balloon or watch them fill up the sky. The rides go from September 20-23, 2018. 6. Cranberry Harvest Fest Facebook In Wareham, Massachusetts, they celebrate another delicious fall food, cranberries. Autumn at the Arboretum Pixabay Dallas, Texas hosts a fall festival that has a pumpkin village, made from 75,000 pumpkins, squash, and gourds. How cool is that? Check it out from September 22-October 21, 2018. 8. Madison County Covered Bridge Festival Facebook Head to Winterset, Iowa to celebrate the culture of Madison County's amazing bridges. Five out of six bridges are on the National Register of Historic Places. They also have a parade and other entertainment. It goes from October 14-15, 2018. 9. Sonoma County Harvest Fair Facebook Sonoma, California is famous for their wine. They host a fair that features winery competitions and a fun World Championship Grape Stomp. If you love wine, head to California on October 6-7, 2018. 10. Scarecrow Festival Facebook St. Charles, Illinois hosts a festival honoring those fall scarecrows on October 5-7, 2018. North Carolina Pecan Harvest Festival Facebook If pecans and pecan pies are your favorite fall food, head to Whiteville, North Carolina between October 26 to November 3, 2018. Kona Coffee Cultural Fest Facebook If you aren't much into fall weather and want to head to Hawaii, this festival is for you! In Kona, Hawaii from November 9-18, 2018, they hold the oldest food festival in Hawaii. It celebrates all things coffee but also features art shows. 13. Hood River Valley Harvest Fest Facebook In Hood River, Oregon, they have a harvest festival that is filled with seasonal food, music, art, and activities for the kids. Find it on October 12-14, 2018. 14. Oktoberfest Zinzinnati Facebook Cincinnati, Ohio becomes Zinzinnati for its yearly Oktoberfest. National Apple Harvest Festival Facebook Arendtsville, Pennslyvania hosts a festival for those who love apple picking. If you are obsessed with apples, make sure you head to Pennslyvania for the fall colors during October 6-7 or 13-14, 2018. 16. Warrens Cranberry Festival Facebook Warrens, Wisconsin hosts another cranberry festival on September 28-30, 2018. It is the world's largest cranberry fest and has marsh tours, contests, and a fun parade. 17. Heritage Harvest Festival at Monticello Facebook The homeplace of Thomas Jefferson, Monticello, Virginia, hosts a harvest festival every year. There are garden tours, gardening lessons, and food tastings. Visit on September 22, 2018. 18. Vermont Pumpkin Chuckin' Festival Facebook Stowe, Vermont holds a unique festival.
