Meszaros was a Hungarian actor and entertainer who was the man who made Alf come to life. Anne Schedeen as Kate Tanner Schedeen’s role as Kate Tanner was not an easy one to play. Kate Tanner is the mother figure, as well as disciplinarian of the family, and no one knows this better than Alf who was often punished by Kate. Paul Dooley as Whizzer On Alf, Whizzer is Dorothy’s second husband and plays the clarinetist for his band Whizzer Deaver and the Whizztones, another band.
