Actor Paul Sorvino died back in July of 2022. He was 83 when he passed. Known for playing authority figures in criminal and law enforcement worlds, Sorvino was omitted from the In Memoriam segment of the 2023 Oscars, which mourns those who passed the previous year. Sorvino's widow, Dee Dee Sorvino, nee Benkie, is denouncing this move. Sorvino met Dee Dee, a political pundit, when he appeared as a guest on Your World With Neil Cavuto. The two married in December 2014. In the past, Sorvino had been with Lorraine Davis from '66 to '88, and Vanessa Arico from '91 to '96. Sorvino's name was not the only star left out of the In Memoriam program, either and Dee Dee's voice is not alone in its protests.
