American singer Marie Osmond seems to have it all, as she has successfully balanced her stellar musical career with her family life. Marie has excelled in singing, acting and writing, and has enjoyed a run in the entertainment industry for over 50 years. The 63-year-old is a mother to eight children, one of whom is Jessica, who she treasures as much as she does her other children. The star made an Instagram post in 2019, writing emotional words to celebrate Jessica’s 32nd birthday: “#HappyBirthday to my precious Jes. How I love you, my angel! Have a beautiful day … you 32-year-old.”

Jessica opted for a quiet life out of the spotlight despite her mother being one of the most iconic singers during her childhood. She took a different path from Marie to pursue her dream outside Hollywood.

The now-34-year-old Jessica had earlier worked as a law enforcement officer with the Provo City Police Department Utah before taking up a job as a counselor, allowing her to help many people, especially those struggling with addictions.

Marie revealed in an interview with Closer Weekly how extremely proud she is of her daughter’s chosen career. “I just talked to her, she works full-time — she’s a counselor and she helps people get off drugs and do all those things and she’s loving that,” Marie said. “I’m happy that she has someone in her life with her, you know? It makes me happy.”

Jessica is openly gay, so her marriage to Sara was not surprising to family members, who have been well aware of her sexuality. She had her wedding in June 2019, and her ever-supportive mother took to Instagram to announce the good news to her followers. Marie posted two pictures detailing the turn of events which she captioned, “Congratulations to my darling daughter Jessica and her new wife, Sara! I’m so glad I got to fly in for the day to be a part of such a happy occasion. I could not love the two of you more! Welcome to our family!”

However, Jessica continues to lead a very quiet life with no active or verified social media handles except for her pictures on her mom’s Instagram page.
