After cycling through various special guest hosts for weeks, Jeopardy! settled on bringing aboard two hosts: Mike Richards and Mayim Bialik. Following the announcement, many viewers, including several celebrities, took to social media to react to the new Jeopardy! host news. Bialik and Richards both shared their excitement and gratitude on social media once the news broke. Bialik tweeted that she had "Been waiting a long time to tell you all. Really really honored and astounded and excited for this - it’s beyond anything I ever imagined could happen." Richards, meanwhile, said he couldn't believe he was "being chosen to step into a role of this magnitude." Richards is the executive producer of Jeopardy! and Bialik had an ongoing roll on the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory.
