Growing up, when the nighttime television drama, Beverly Hills, 90210 first came to television, we all were addicted. It was all the talk at our lockers the next day at school. And if you were like me, you had a picture of Jason Priestley or Luke Perry hanging on your bedroom walls. We also followed their fashion trends from the guys wearing sideburns to white tees, and the girls wearing neon with teased hair and acid washed jeans. The iconic primetime show was premised on “typical” California high school kids dealing with some seriously soapy dramas—infidelity, teen pregnancy, abortion, STDs, suicide, divorce, family secrets, eating disorders—oh, and let’s not forget, being busted boozing it up at prom! And should we even dare mention that infectious theme song? Too late. When the show popular show debuted on October 4th, 1990, most of the cast were in their 20s and destined to become teen idols. Not only did he make sideburns look cool, but he also maintained his good-guy image even while dating a plethora of women. Priestley left the show after nine seasons but continued to serve as an executive producer until the series ended. He went on to play small roles in "Tru Calling," "Love Monkey" and "My Name Is Earl," and even directed an episode of the show's spin-off series, "90210." He is now a father of two with his wife, make-up artist Naomi Lowde. Getty Images Jennie Garth (Kelly Taylor) While she was deemed the "snobby rich girl" of the group, it was anything but easy for Kelly in Beverly Hills: she's had a stalker, abused drugs, was sexually assaulted, was caught on a fire, joined a cult, got shot and had amnesia. As one of the original cast members to remain until the series' finale, Jennie Garth went on the star in the TV sitcom "What I Like About You" with Amanda Bynes. She reprised the role of Kelly Taylor on the first two seasons of the "90210" spin-off series. She recently married her third husband, actor Dave Abrams. Getty Images Luke Perry (Dylan McKay) Combining his brooding looks and tortured demeanor, Dylan was the typical bad boy that every high school girl lusted over -- particularly Kelly Taylor and Brenda Walsh. After high school, he overcame a battle with alcohol, had money troubles and ultimately fell in love with the daughter of his father's killer. After her murder, Dylan left town -only to return years later for the remainder of the series. Since then, Perry returned to the TV in 2015 in the series "Detective McLean: Ties That Behind." Just ask show creator Aaron Spelling's daughter Tori, who played the show's ditsy, virginal rich girl during the entire series' run. Off-screen, Spelling's personal life seems to have trumped her TV career. She met future husband, Dean McDermott, while still married to actor Charlie Shanian, who she divorced one month before marrying McDermott in 2006. The couple renewed their vows in 2010 and are still married despite McDermott having an affair after 10 years and four children. Spelling and McDermott starred in a number of reality shows about their troubled domestic life, including the aftermath of McDermott’s affair that played out in several episodes of "True Tori" in 2013. As one of the few original characters who remained on the show during its entire run, Steve had the biggest transformation as resident goof-off to devoted husband and father. Post "90210," in 2002 Ziering went on to marry -- and then divorce - Playboy Playmate Nikki Schieler. He moved on and tied the knot with Erin Kristine Ludwig, whom he has two kids with. After years of pursuing Donna Martin, he finally won her over and married her on the series' final episode. Green attempted to pursue music after the series, only to wind up with a failed rap career. The actor went on to marry Megan Fox in 2010 before the couple filed for divorce in 2015 and called it off when it was revealed Megan was pregnant again with the couple's fourth child. Getty Images Tiffani Thiessen (Valerie Malone) Following Shannen Doherty's departure from the show, Tiffani Thiessen joined the cast's fifth season as a fresh-faced girl from Minnesota who quickly sheds her good-girl act (and the high school cheerleader typecast that followed her from “Saved by the Bell”) to become the resident vixen. After dating practically every man on the show, Val decided to return home to live with her mother at the end of season nine. After roles on failed sitcoms "Two Guys and a Girl," "Fastlane" and "What About Brian," Thiessen found success on USA's "White Collar" and the animated series, "Jake and the Never Land Pirates." Getty Images Rebecca Gayheart (Toni Marchette) Before "90210," Rebecca Gayheart was already known as "The Noxzema Girl" from her days hawking the skin cleanser in commercials. In eight episodes of "90210," she played the daughter of Dylan McKay's father's murderer. After falling in love and marrying Dylan, Toni was accidentally killed in a drive-by shooting (orchestrated by her father) meant for her new husband. Gayheart had her own personal drama involving a car accident in 2001 when she fatally struck a 9-year-old crossing the street. She pleaded no contest and was sentenced to three years’ probation. She is currently married to "Grey's Anatomy" star Eric Dane. She has appeared on the popular TV shows "Nip/Tuck," "CSI: Miami" and "Ugly Betty." Getty Images Gabriel Carteris (Andrea Zuckerman) Every high school has an overachieving student who wants to be a part of every club -- and at West Bev, Andrea Zuckerman was that person. Carteris played the show's bookworm, who was often the voice of reason among her drama-loving friends. After getting married and having a child, Andrea and her husband decided to move away from Beverly Hills, thus ending Carteris' run on the show in 2000. Off-screen, the actress left her acting career to get married to stockbroker Charles Isaacs and have a family of her own. She returned to acting but tragically suffered an injury while filming a TV movie in Vancouver in 2006, which left her face partially paralyzed and affected her speech for more than six months. After leaving the show at the end of its fifth season, Eckhouse continued his acting career and has appeared on "Nip/Tuck," "CSI" and "Masters of Sex." He also had a recurring role in "Days of Our Lives. In addition to being featured on multiple Hot 100 lists in men's magazines, the actress went on to star as a regular on "General Hospital." He mixed business with pleasure while working with his Peach Pit After Dark co-owner Valerie Malone, and also briefly dated Donna Martin. Post "90210," Young has had small roles on "CSI: New York," "Navy NCIS" and "JAG." Getty Images Jamie Walters (Ray Pruit) Aaron Spelling first cast Walters in the TV series "The Heights," in which he also sang the theme song, "How Do You Talk to an Angel?" The single reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and launched his music career, after which he signed a recording contract with Atlantic Records. Walters joined "90210" in 1994, playing Donna Martin's love interest, a struggling musician who turns abusive towards her. Walters left after two seasons to pursue his music. In 2009, he appeared on VH1's reality show "Confessions of a Teen Idol" in the hopes of reviving his career. She was a sweet, caring nurturer who was always willing to bend over backward for her own children, as well as their friends. Since leaving at the end of the show's fifth season, Potter starred in two years of Aaron Spelling's daytime soap opera "Sunset Beach." She also appeared on episodes of "NYPD Blue," "JAG" and "Medium." After a playful romance with David, she began a more serious relationship with Steve. She ultimately left him -- and the show -- at the end of the seventh season when she moved to Paris with her father. Espinoza (Jesse Vasquez) Jesse was introduced to the show's fourth season as Andrea Zuckerman's love interest. The two eventually tied the knot and welcomed a daughter. After overcoming some marital troubles, the pair decided to work on their relationship and move away from Beverly Hills. Since his time on the show, Espinoza has had small roles on many TV shows including "The Young and the Restless," "Without a Trace," "The Mentalist," "House," "American Horror Story" and "The Bold and the Beautiful." After they began dating, Steve developed a fatherly type of bond with her son. They eventually split when Carly and her son had to move away to Montana. Perhaps the most successful person to come out of the show, Swank went on to earn critical acclaim -- and two Academy Awards -- for her outstanding roles in 1999's "Boys Don't Cry" and 2004's "Million Dollar Baby." Since the show, Tata has only appeared on one episode of Aaron Spelling's "Charmed" and reprised his role in several earlier episodes of the "90210" spin-off series in 2008. She manages to be the one person who can keep Steve in a committed relationship. After discovering she is pregnant, the couple gets married and welcomes their new life as parents. Since the show, the actress has maintained a steady, TV career with shows such as “Coupling,” "Lipstick Jungle" and "Eastwick." Most recently she appeared on episodes of "Black-ish" and "Castle." The couple split when Susan left town to work on the Clinton/Gore presidential campaign in Washington D.C. Post "90210," Caufield became most recognized for her role as Anya Jenkins on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." She then starred in the 2003 horror film "Darkness Falls" and has also appeared on episodes of "Gigantic," "Life Unexpected" and, most recently, "Once Upon a Time." Getty Images Shannen Doherty (Brenda Walsh) As Brandon's rebellious twin sister, Brenda spent most of her high school days fretting over a love triangle with on-off boyfriend Dylan McKay and best friend Kelly Taylor. Doherty's character was written off the show in 1994 because she was reportedly fired for her off-screen bad behavior. The actress went on to star in Kevin Smith's "Mallrats" and then played the lead role in another Aaron Spelling TV series, "Charmed." She was eventually killed off the show for reported friction with co-star Alyssa Milano. After several TV movies reprised her "90210" role in eight episodes of the show's spin-off series.
