Captain Tom Moore is a 99-year-old World War II veteran. He recently embarked on a journey to raise money "for our brave nurses and doctors." He vowed to do 100 laps around his backyard for his 100th birthday and has stolen the hearts of so many for his acts. Moore's target was to raise £1,000 for NHS Charities Together. However, he achieved that in less than a day! As of April 16th, 2020, he has raised £14,722,361.76, which equates to $18,304,459.60 and is still rising. Moore is working through the 100 laps 10 laps at a time around the 25-meter loop of his garden in Marston Moretaine, Bedfordshire.
