Over the weekend, the world learned that Dave Prowse, the actor behind the mask of the iconic Darth Vader, had died at the age of 85 after a brief illness. He also announced back in 2014 that he had been battling dementia and also had a battle with prostate cancer as well. Following the news of his death, his Star Wars co-stars took to social media to pay tribute to their late friend. Mark Hamill, who played the role of Luke Skywalker, writes, "So sad to hear David Prowse has passed. He was a kind man & much more than Darth Vader.
