It was reported on Monday, November 12th that comic book legend and writer Stan Lee had passed away at the age of 95. Lee was the creator of a number of comic book icons that we've all come to know and love today, including Spider-Man, X-Men, and Iron Man. He also was the host of his own Syfy show Stan Lee's Who Wants To Be A Superhero? in 2004. In addition to creating these legendary comic book heroes that we will remember for years to come, he also starred in a number of his own movies. These films include Iron Man (2008), Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), and the most recent Avengers: Infinity War (2018). 1. The Incredible Hulk (2008) Disney Lee played a Milwaukee resident who suffers from gamma radiation poisoning. The scene portrays Lee looking through the fridge before pulling out a green-colored soda, taking a sip, and dropping the glass bottle to the floor. 2. Iron Man (2008) Disney In this cameo, Lee played a look-alike of Hugh Hefner. In the scene, he is surrounded by younger women, smoking what appears to be a pipe. 3. Iron Man 2 (2010) Disney In Iron Man 2, Lee played a look-alike of Larry King... and it's pretty on point! While his scene is probably 1-2 seconds long, it's pretty iconic. You'd really think it was Larry King! 4. Thor (2011) Disney In this cameo, Lee played a truck driver and actually had a line! His famously bubbly "Did it work?" after trying to lift Thor's hammer is enough to make any Stan Lee fan smile ear-to-ear! 5. Captain America: The First Avenger (2011) Disney In this movie, Lee played the role of an Army general. Lee has yet another short line in this cameo, but it seems to be in another language. Still, we'll take what we can get from this icon! 6. The Avengers (2012) Disney You can't just expect this comic book legend to not appear in this Avengers movie! He played the small role of a news interviewee playing chess. His scene takes place when the camera is rolling over a slew of news interviews where he is featured. 7. The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) Disney In this specific scene, Lee is playing the role of a librarian. And apparently, not a very good one, as he has noise-canceling headphones on so he can't hear if other people are making too much noise (or, in this case, the bookcases falling over). In the scene, the contestant is asked what she would like for Christmas this year and soon cuts to a short scene of Lee holding up a sign with a number 10 on it. 9. Thor: The Dark World (2013) Disney In this film, Lee was playing the role of a patient in a mental hospital. This scene is actually pretty comical because of course Lee's wit and sarcasm come out in his one simple line, "Can I have my shoe back?" If you don't know what we're referencing, you need to watch it! 10. Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) Disney In this film, he played a security guard at the Smithsonian. He also has a pretty comical line in this one, where he says, "Oh, man. I am so fired," when he realizes one of the Smithsonian's mannequin's uniforms is missing. 11. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014) Disney In The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Lee plays the role of a guest at a high school graduation. "Hey, I know that guy!" he says, pointing to a gentleman with a Spider-Man mask on. We know you know him, Stan! 12. Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) Disney Lee played the role of a Casanova on the planet Xandar for this film. He was actually originally supposed to be part of the Collector's museum in this film! 13. Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) Disney For Avengers: Age of Ultron, Lee played the role of a drunken veteran who had to be helped out of the club. Lee has also stated in a past interview that this was his favorite cameo to do! 14. Ant-Man (2015) Disney In Ant-Man, Lee was behind the bar this time playing the role of the bartender. The scene is a funny one since it's depicting a flashback with a voiceover that is not his voice. 15. Deadpool (2016) Disney In Deadpool, Lee played the role of a DJ at a strip club. Oi vey. That's literally all you need to know about that one! 16. Captain America: Civil War (2016) Disney We have to say, Lee playing the role of a FedEx delivery man is quite hilarious. X-Men: Apocalypse (2016) Disney This scene is actually pretty darn adorable. In X-men: Apocalypse, he plays the role of a citizen watching a real-time nuclear missile launch. He is alongside his actual wife, Joan, in this scene! 18. Doctor Strange (2016) Disney In this film, Lee was a citizen riding the bus. We don't know what's funnier about this scene; Benedict Cumberbatch's facial expressions or Lee's obvious disregard to the men in favor of his book, The Doors of Perception. 19. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017) Disney For the film Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Lee played the role of an informant for the Watchers. Marvel president Kevin Feige and Guardians director James Gunn actually confirmed that this cameo, in particular, is a nod to the fan theory that all of Lee's cameos are the same character! Uatu the Watcher, an alien tasked with observing Earth, and the universe. The more ya know! 20. Thor: Ragnarok (2017) Disney In this film, Lee takes on the role of the barber who chops off Thor's locks. "My hands aren't as steady as they used to be," Lee's character says as he approaches Thor. Not sure if we'd want to get our hair cut by him, and if you've seen the movie, the reason why is quite obvious. 21. Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) Disney In this humorous scene, Lee plays the role of Gary, a man who dislikes Spider-Man because he's a troublemaker (at least in Gary's eyes). Lee plays the stereotypical old man role with his line, "Don't make me come down there, you punk!" 22. Black Panther (2018) Disney In this very recent film, Lee plays the role of a gambler in the South Korean casino who offers to keep an eye on T'Challa's winnings for 'safe keeping'. 23. Avengers: Infinity War (2018) Disney Lee starred in the recent Avengers: Infinity War film and he played the role of a disgruntled bus driver. It was a pretty great role to go out with! Despite this being the last role on the list, Stan Lee's IMDb confirms that there are plenty more cameos of him coming out soon!
