And this one does not disappoint. Billed as the swan song of the group The Band, The Last Waltz is a concert doc with a star-studded lineup. It’s hailed as one of the greatest rock films of all time. This Maysles Brothers film is a prime example of the Direct Cinema movement, which chronicles events as they occur naturally rather than portraying them through interviews and reenactments.
