Elton John has been that entertainer I have shared some really great times with and some really low times with, but in the end, he always pulled through for me! I just want to thank him from the bottom of my heart for always being my "go to" guy. When I needed him, he was always there. So Sir Elton John, have a beautiful 70th Birthday! And thanks for all the memories... https://youtu.be/ngusy7cvA4A Let's listen to some of my favorites... "YOUR SONG" https://youtu.be/mTa8U0Wa0q8 It's a little bit funny, this feeling inside I'm not one of those who can easily hide, I Don't have much money but boy, if I did I'd buy a big house where we both could live If I was a sculptor but then again, no Or a man who makes potions in a traveling show Oh, I know it's not much but it's the best I can do My gift is my song And this one's for you And you can tell everybody this is your song It may be quite simple but now that it's done I hope you don't mind I hope you don't mind That I put down in words How wonderful life is while you're in the world I sat on the roof and kicked up the moss Well, a few of the verses, well, they've got me quite cross But the sun's been quite kind While I wrote this song It's for people like you that Keep it turned on So excuse me forgetting But these things, I do You see, I've forgotten If they're green or they're blue Anyway, the thing is, what I really mean Yours are the sweetest eyes I've ever seen And you can tell everybody this is your song It may be quite simple but Now that it's done I hope you don't mind I hope you don't mind That I put down in words How wonderful life is while you're in the world I hope you don't mind I hope you don't mind That I put down in words How wonderful life is while you're in the world "DANIEL" https://youtu.be/0f0TMfQNRk8 Daniel is traveling tonight on a plane I can see the red tail lights heading for Spain Oh and I can see Daniel waving goodbye God it looks like Daniel, must be the clouds in my eyes They say Spain is pretty though I've never been Well Daniel says it's the best place that he's ever seen Oh and he should know, he's been there enough Lord I miss Daniel, oh I miss him so much Daniel my brother you are older than me Do you still feel the pain of the scars that won't heal Your eyes have died but you see more than I Daniel you're a star in the face of the sky Daniel is travelling tonight on a plane I can see the red tail lights heading for Spain Oh and I can see Daniel waving goodbye God it looks like Daniel, must be the clouds in my eyes Oh God it looks like Daniel, must be the clouds in my eyes "ROCKET MAN" https://youtu.be/uNNl3C0qvKg She packed my bags last night pre-flight Zero hour nine AM And I'm gonna be high as a kite by then I miss the earth so much I miss my wife It's lonely out in space On such a timeless flight And I think it's gonna be a long long time 'Till touch down brings me round again to find I'm not the man they think I am at home Oh no no no I'm a rocket man Rocket man burning out his fuse up here alone And I think it's gonna be a long long time 'Till touch down brings me round again to find I'm not the man they think I am at home Oh no no no I'm a rocket man Rocket man burning out his fuse up here alone Mars ain't the kind of place to raise your kids In fact it's cold as hell And there's no one there to raise them if you did And all this science I don't understand It's just my job five days a week A rocket man, a rocket man And I think it's gonna be a long long time 'Till touch down brings me round again to find I'm not the man they think I am at home Oh no no no I'm a rocket man Rocket man burning out his fuse up here alone And I think it's gonna be a long long time 'Till touch down brings me round again to find I'm not the man they think I am at home Oh no no no I'm a rocket man Rocket man burning out his fuse up here alone And I think it's gonna be a long long time And I think it's gonna be a long long time And I think it's gonna be a long long time And I think it's gonna be a long long time And I think it's gonna be a long long time And I think it's gonna be a long long time And I think it's gonna be a long long time And I think it's gonna be a long the sand And now she's in me, always with me, tiny dancer in my hand Jesus freaks out in the street Handing tickets out for God Turning back she just laughs The boulevard is not that bad Piano man he makes his stand In the auditorium Looking on she sings the songs The words she knows, the tune she hums But oh how it feels so real Lying here with no one near Only you and you can hear me When I say softly, slowly Hold me closer tiny dancer Count the headlights on the highway Lay me down in sheets of linen You had a busy day today Hold me closer tiny dancer Count the headlights on the highway Lay me down in sheets of linen You had a busy day today Blue jean baby, L.A. lady, seamstress for the band Pretty eyed, pirate smile, you'll marry a music man Ballerina, you must have seen her dancing in But the biggest kick I ever got Was doing a thing called the Crocodile Rock While the other kids were Rocking Round the Clock We were hopping and bopping to the Crocodile Rock Well Crocodile Rocking is something shocking When your feet just can't keep still I never knew me a better time and I guess I never will Oh Lawdy mama those Friday nights When Suzie wore her dresses tight And the Crocodile Rocking was out of sight La lalalala la lalalala la lalalala la But the years went by and the rock just died Suzie went and left us for some foreign guy Long nights crying by the record machine Dreaming of my Chevy and my old blue jeans But they'll never kill the thrills we've got Burning up to the Crocodile Rock Learning fast as the weeks went past We really thought the Crocodile Rock would last Well Crocodile Rocking is something shocking When your feet just can't keep still I never knew me a better time and I guess I never will Oh Lawdy mama those Friday nights When Suzie wore her dresses tight And the Crocodile Rocking was out of sight La lalalala la lalalala la lalalala la I remember when rock was young Me and Suzie had so much fun Holding hands and skimming stones Had an old SUN GO DOWN ON ME" https://youtu.be/gGQ8BVLkOXE I can't light no more of your darkness All my pictures seem to fade to black and white I'm growing tired and time stands still before me Frozen here on the ladder of my life Too late to save myself from falling I took a chance and changed your way of life But you misread my meaning when I met you Closed the door and left me blinded by the light Don't let the sun go down on me Although I searched myself, it's always someone else I see I'd just allow a fragment of your life to wander free But losing everything is like the sun going down on me I can't find the right romantic line But see me once and see the way I feel Don't discard me just because you think I mean you harm But these cuts I have they need love to help them heal Don't let the sun go down on me Although I searched myself, it's always someone else I see I'd just allow a fragment of your life to wander free But losing everything is like the sun going down on me "SATURDAY NIGHT'S ALRIGHT (FOR FIGHTING)" https://youtu.be/SEsBYtjsGGI It's getting late have you seen my mates Ma tell me when the boys get here It's seven o'clock and I want to rock Want to get a belly full of beer My old man's drunker than a barrel full of monkeys And my old lady she don't care My sister looks cute in her braces and boots A handful of grease in her hair Don't give us none of your aggravation We had it with your discipline Saturday night's alright for fighting Get a little action in Get about as oiled as a diesel train Gonna set this dance alight `Cause Saturday night's the night I like Saturday night's alright alright alright Well they're packed pretty tight in here tonight I'm looking for a dolly who'll see me right I may use a little muscle to get what I need I may sink a little drink and shout out "She's with me!"
