A new study at the European Society of Cardiology Congress followed 20,000 people with an average age of 37.7 years old. The study concluded that heavy coffee drinkers were 64% less likely to die in that time than those who do not drink coffee. "It’s much more likely that it’s association than it is causation. Very healthy people tend to drink lots of caffeine." The experiment, overall, cites a lower risk of early death and that it can be a great resource for a healthy diet despite other studies that say coffee poses health risks like cancer. Among the 20,000 people that they followed over the time span of 10 years, 337 of those participants died in the process, paving the way for that 64% lower risk mentioned previously.
