Which perfumes do you remember wearing back in the day? How about what your mother or grandmother wore? Most of us can remember how special it was to get a spritz of our mom or grandma’s perfume when we were kids. Here are some nostalgic perfumes that might transport your mind back to those days: 1. Evening in Paris Pinterest This scent was popular from about the 1920s to 1960s. It was fruity, floral, and was very reminiscent of Paris. It was also sometimes in French and called Soir de Paris. It has notes of bergamot, apricot, peach, rose, lily of the valley, amber, sandalwood, musk, and vanilla. 2. Chanel No. 5 Nordstrom This is a perfume just about anyone would recognize. Marilyn Monroe made it famous by saying she wore it to bed. It had notes of rose, vanilla, citrus, and jasmine. You can still get this iconic perfume today. 3. White Shoulders Walgreens This perfume came out in the 1940s. It is mostly a floral scent with notes of lilac, gardenia, and jasmine. 4. Chantilly Amazon.com This was a perfume that was made affordable to the masses and came out in the 1940s as well. It was a romantic and mysterious scent with notes of rose damask, jasmine, and patchouli. 5. Shalimar Bloomingdale's This was first made in 1925 and is an oriental fragrance inspired by the Gardens of Shalimar. The Gardens of Shalimar was built by the Indian emperor Shan Jahan for his wife. Youth Dew eBay Youth Dew is a fragrance from Estée Lauder from the 1950s. They now offer two different bottle designs. One is more modern and the other is based on the original bottle. It contains notes of patchouli, rose, and lavender. 7. Charlie Amazon.com Charlie is a very popular perfume from 1973. Revlon created this scent to appeal to the young working woman. It is still sold today and contains notes of gardenia, hyacinth, violet, and musk. 8. Arpège eBay This scent was created all the way back in 1927 by Jeanne Lanvin. It contains notes of ylang-ylang, vanilla, neroli, and sandalwood. Lanvin created it for her daughter's 30th birthday. 9. Tabu eBay Tabu was made starting in the 1930s and is still around today. It has notes of oak moss, amber and lemon oil, making it pretty unique. 10. Opium eBay This fragrance caused a controversy when it was released in 1977 due to its name. It is still one of the best selling fragrance by Yves Saint Laurent today and there is now another version called Black Opium. The first Opium fragrance has notes of myrrh, amber, and mandarin. 11. Dior Miss Dior eBay This fragrance was created in 1947 and is said to be a blend of spicy and floral notes like tuberose, pepper, and coriander. It was popular after World War II. 12.
