The same Thursday she celebrated her 58th birthday, Bridget Fonda was seen out running errands around Los Angeles. This is the first time in roughly 12 years she has been seen out publicly after withdrawing from the spotlight officially in 2002 and keeping a low profile after.

Bridget was photographed wearing a light T-shirt with dark pants and a cross-body bag. She is seen wearing rectangular glasses under blonde hair she keeps tied back, and sometimes while donning a pale-blue surgical mask. She was not attending a formal event and so continued to run her errands without engaging in photoshoots. When outlets have criticized some aspect of the actress, fans on social media quickly defended her and give her respect and privacy.
Catching up, looking inward, and stepping back
Some of Bridget’s credits include The Godfather Part III, Singles, and Point of No Return, and Single White Female, which is regarded as one of her biggest credits. Despite this, Bridget has pondered what it would have been like to start a career in the entertainment industry without being related to the star power she calls family. “I wonder what kind of satisfaction I would have with where I am now if I wasn’t part of a family that has done such phenomenal work,” she wondered. “I wonder what it would feel like to know that you’ve made it completely under your own steam. I sometimes wonder if I would be more at peace if I could know I made it by myself, instead of always wondering how many times my name got me in the door.”
2003 proved a definitive year for Bridget, who ended up both involved in a car crash that left her with an injured back and getting married. She and husband Danny Elfman are parents to 17-year-old son Oliver. Closer Weekly has proposed this shift into family life as a significant reason for Bridget withdrawing from the spotlight and acting. Would you like to see her in more productions again?
