WATCH: See Inside Renovated ‘Brady Bunch’ House That Just Sold For Millions

by Dana Daly

Published September 16, 2023

See inside the recently sold property

Americans everywhere became intimately familiar with the exterior and inner layout of the house from The Brady Bunch. But in and out were two separate entities filmed in entirely different places. Only in recent years did HGTV establish one single property that fully and faithfully recreated the Brady abode and it just went off the market.

But fans wanting to see this seamless union between its famous exterior and unmistakable interior can still do just that. The process was painstakingly documented across multiple Very Brady Renovation specials on HGTV. But recent footage offers a tour like never seen before.

Footage is now circulating on various outlets showing new angles from inside the house from The Brady Bunch. The exterior shots were filmed at 11222 Dilling St, North Hollywood, while interior shots were filmed separately at stage five at Paramount Studios.

In 2018, HGTV oversaw a renovation project to meticulously recreate the outside and inside of the very Brady house, after buying the Studio City property for $3.5 million. By May 2019, renovations were completed by Jonathan and Drew Scott, Flea Market Flip‘s Lara Spencer, and much of the surviving cast of The Brady Bunch.

Recently, the network sold the remodeled house for significantly less than its initial asking price – and less than what it was bought for. Profits were supposed to go towards initiatives combating child hunger, but the Brady superfan who bought it intends on using the property for fundraising initiatives anyway.

Otherwise, the new owner, Tina Trahan, considers it “the worst investment ever,” explaining, “No one is going in there to make pork chops and applesauce in that kitchen. Anything you might do to make the house livable would take away from what I consider artwork.” In other words, a faithful recreation means compromising on modernity.

But, Trahan feels, there’s plenty to enjoy visually, especially thanks to the loyalty evident in every square inch of the property, from the iconic staircase to the bedroom decor. There are a few videos floating around now, so check out the one below in addition to the exciting photos!
