For 13 years, Duane Chapman has owned a home in Colorado. The sprawling mansion was especially significant since Chapman bought it with his late wife Beth Chapman. Now, however, Dog the Bounty Hunter has reportedly sold the property and plans to move to Florida.
Change is the new norm for Chapman, who mourned the loss of Beth in 2019 from complications and illness; throat cancer went into remission but later returned and spread to her lungs. Two years later, Chapman married Francie Frane. What does this big move look like?
Duane Chapman is moving from his longtime home in Colorado
After living for over a decade in one house with Beth, how is the prospect of moving to so different an environment? “I love Colorado — it will always be special to me and Francie,” Chapman said of his former home. “We have moved to the sunny state of Florida and are enjoying the warmer weather. Aloha.” The warmer weather is a big trade-off for what his former property had.

By moving away, Chapman leaves behind a large home in the Keene Ranch community. Outside has a large deck, a sprawling view of rolling hills and trees, and quite a bit of history, since it’s been featured in three of his reality TV shows.
The cost of moving
On top of its television history, the place Chapman used to call home covers 6,200 square feet across nine acres of property in New Castle. It has six bedrooms and five bathrooms. It was actually first listed in October for $1.69 million then underwent a $95,000. Now, it’s reported to close at $1.59 million. Karen Beville and Scott Beville of Coldwell Banker Realty held the listing, with Karen asking that the family all pray together before “the property was listed in the MLS.”
“Dog led us in prayer that this home be found by a family who really needed and would love such a home,” Karen continued. “And that prayer was soon answered.” Just as his Colorado home played host to Chapman’s other bounty-hunting endeavors, now in Florida, he will address the sex trafficking epidemic there as part of The D.O.G. Foundation.
