"Why are you so hung up on age?" a social media user commented. "You're hot... probably bc you always have been, so you have that confidence. And yet, you seem so directly obligated to show your age? "Many of the unkind comments seem to focus on me needing validation – which is true in part, I do need to be noticed in order not to be invisible," she explained. "You also call me out for promoting the objectification of women. This is also partly true, I am working within set constraints thousands of years old." She further stated that her post is not meant in any way to be a measuring board for women within her age bracket. "Because I don’t look like a typical woman my age. I’m not trying to represent all women of my age," the 57-year-old added. "How could I? How could anyone? Don’t we all look different and isn’t that where our beauty lies? In our uniqueness?" Porizkova concluded that everybody is distinct and each person must embrace their individualities to make their lives better.
