Did you love school or hate it? Whatever your answer is there’s no denying we spent a massive part of our lives at School. Even if you hated it you must have a couple of fond memories of your school days – even if it was just home time! If you started School in the pre-internet then you are bound to remember a few things from this list. 1. Gym Mats American Floor Mats When you were climbing the ropes in gym class, this was your savior when you fell down. 2. National Record of Achievement Lion Presentation Back then when you finished school, this was handed to you. What a great trophy for all those years of education. 3. BBC Micro Pinterest So many hours playing Witches Garden and learning code. In half a day this thing could draw a whole entire box! Oh, technology... 4. Disclosure Tablets Etsy If you wanted to see which areas of your teeth your weren't brushing properly, you would chew up, swished one of these. It tasted like a strange mix of toothpaste and candy and it also has reputation for temporarily dying peoples' teeth pink! Through what electronic machine did we receive our homework assignments? Click "Next" to find out. 6. The Ditto Machine was the classroom's printing press for all of our homework assignments. Wordpress 99% of the time, there would be ink stains all over our hands but it was worth it because for some reason, when our homework was printed out it always smelled really good 7. The Infamous Wall Pencil Sharpener Youtube It was always very squeaky. It was always somewhat broken. It sometimes sharpened your pencil thoroughly, it sometimes just straight up butchered your pencil. 8. We Always Passed Notes This is what our communication before texting and social media. It was creative and scandalous in the best ways. 9. Wooden Pencil Case Pinterest This came with its own special pencil sharpener when you were too lazy to use the wall pencil sharpener. So handy dandy! 10. Exercise Books Paperstone We had one for every subject, at least they came in different colors so we knew which book for was for which topic! What stickers are next on our list? I loved putting these on my locker... 11. FOOTBALL STICKERS iChef.com Did you have them all? We used to trade these before and after each class! 12. Good Old School Dinners School Dinners were great! Believe it or not, I am not afraid to say it- I was a huge fan of cafeteria food, especially that meat that we never could place a name on. 13. Classrooms and the library were always super trendy with their super cool "Read" posters. What a hip way to try and get us kids to read a book, eh? 14. We were always rocking a flashy metal lunchbox with our favorite cartoon on it. Pinterest I still have my Man From Uncle lunchbox from 6th grade! 15. Signing a pledge to never touch one drug with D.A.R.E. Thrillist This was the program that persuaded us at a young age to not ruin our lives and to stay in school! 16. Every year we took an annual hearing exam with these famous appliances: Pinterest Can you imagine using this with an iPhone today? I can only imagine the looks I'd get... 17. Every time you got a good grade you would receive one of those awesome scratch-and-sniff stickers on your assignment. Like Totally 80s I can still smell the strawberry smell of the "Berry Good" sticker... Oh, the smell of satisfaction... 18. The joys (and struggles) of watching film strips on one of these: Ireton.com Whenever the teacher put up a film on one of these, this meant that it would soon be naptime for most of us. 19. The amount of sheer excitement that built up inside whenever your teacher handed out those Scholastic and Troll book order forms. Pinterest The funny part is, we were never looking at the books- we were too occupied with the toys on the back of the catalog. 20. Getting home at the end of a long school day.
