Peter Robbins Peter Robbins was the first actor to voice Charlie Brown / Everett Collection Charlie Brown has died. More accurately, the actor who originally voiced him in the classic cartoons of the 1960s — Peter Robbins — has, sadly, died by suicide at the age of 65 after spending much of his life suffering from bipolar disorder. She died on March 10 in Austin, Texas. Her family announced via social media that she passed away "peacefully and surrounded by family," though the post did not specify the cause of death. News of his passing, which occurred on July 5, is confirmed by a social media post shared by his grandson Jamie Charlton.
