Actor Jim Carrey was spotted with a new hippie look at his birthday night out in Los Angeles. The Bruce Almighty star was joined at San Vicente Bungalows by other Hollywood celebrities, including Adam Sandler and Dustin Hoffman, as he turned 62.
For the event, he opted for a casual outfit consisting of a brown jacket, printed t-shirt, and dark jeans; however, he looked noticeably different with his new hairstyle. Unlike his usual short cut, Jim now wears shoulder-length hair and has taken off his full beard.

Jim was seen leaving the restaurant in West Hollywood with friends Jimmy Kimmel, Seth Green, Jeff Ross, and Bill Burr. All have been known to commend his work ethic and dedication, especially Burr, who called his comedy “brilliant” in a 2021 interview with Bert Kreischer. “His movies make over $30 million in one f–king weekend,” Burr gushed. “But he still has to go down and audition.”

Hoffman and Jim have been friends for two decades since they worked together in Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events. The Grinch actor also graced his buddy Jimmy Kimmel’s show in 2017, where he memorably talked about the Illuminati and Kimmel’s knowledge of it. Sandler appeared on the same show in 2020, where he recalled praising Jim for his performance in Sonic The Hedgehog. “I called Carrey from the theater. I was telling him how funny he was while it was going on,” he said.
What is Jim up to?
In 2022, Jim hinted at his decision to retire after Sonic The Hedgehog 2. He explained that life outside the spotlight has proven to be preferable, and he would stick with that except “the angels bring some sort of script that’s written in gold ink, that says to me that it’s going to be really important for people to see.”
He also denied rumors of his return for Universal Pictures’ The Grinch 2 and clarified that he would not be reprising his role in the classic holiday movie sequel. “I really like my quiet life…and this is something you might never hear another celebrity say as long as time exists — I have enough,” he told People in 2022. “I’ve done enough. I am enough.” According to Access Hollywood host Kit Hoover, Jim might make an appearance in Dolly Parton’s upcoming biopic. “I do love your talent. I do hope you continue to make us laugh and smile,” the country legend told Jim.
