Although she is still as much a familiar face in Hollywood as she was in the ‘90s, Candace Cameron Bure has opted to completely vacate LA. The Full House alum cited safety concerns as the driving force behind her exodus. Other actors associated with the ABC sitcom have also faced security risks due, in some way, to Hollywood. Bure’s former co-stars needed security teams after they received so many death threats. Bure, a mother of three, wants to keep her family away from the dangers she has continued to see in the Golden State. As of March 2024, Bure’s three children have moved out, but the environment in LA still had her worried for herself and her loved ones. Also, family dynamics have changed. The kids don’t live in Los Angeles anymore. Mama will go where they go! I travel a lot. I want to learn lessons, I want to grow and I feel like where I am right now in my life, this is like the perfect opportunity to go and get out of my comfort zone and go do something that is different and that I normally wouldn't do.” There was also a bit of necessity inspiring the move from LA, Bure also confirmed. It's amazing what people feel they can do. And wanting to be a part of your life in some way. Some of it is innocent, some of it wasn't. But it's quite unnerving when you're just trying to be a person and live life, and you don't know what's around the corner.” Indeed, her Full House co-stars know a thing or two about that, as at one point John Stamos and Jodie Sweetin, who played Jesse Katsapolis and Stephanie Tanner respectively, received death threats from viewers. They also needed a security team that thwarted some truly harrowing near misses.
