Dave Coulier recently opened up about the deep connection he shared with his late friend and Full House co-star Bob Saget. In the touching interview, Coulier said that Saget frequently appears in his dreams, always making him laugh just as he did in real life.
Both comedians met when Coulier was just 18 years old and remained close friends for decades. Despite Saget’s passing in 2022, Coulier still feels his presence in a special way. “He comes to me in my dreams, and he always does something silly and foolish,” Coulier shared. Their bond was formed on humor and brotherly love, continuing even beyond Saget’s time on earth.
Dave Coulier reflects on Bob Saget’s unending support – even in death
During his battle with stage 3 non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, Coulier often thought about how Saget would have been by his side through it all. He would have called him every day to ask how he was doing. The thought of Saget’s unwavering support brought both comfort and bittersweet memories to Coulier.
Coulier and Saget shared the screen for eight seasons of Full House from 1987 to 1995, later reuniting for Fuller House from 2016 to 2020. Their relationship on and off-screen made their friendship one of the most admirable in Hollywood. Saget’s passing left an emptiness among the Full House cast, with Coulier still paying homage to him by recounting stories of their escapades.
Keeping Bob Saget’s spirit alive
Saget’s kindness extended far past his work in television. His family and his wife, Kelly Rizzo, described him as a man who brought people together through his humor and good gestures. Coulier testified to this, stating that Saget’s talent for being able to make others laugh was one of the best aspects of his personality.
As Coulier progresses, he never forgets his dear friend but retains him in both his imagination and actual world. It is a proof of the reality that friendship can overcome even the terms of life and death.
