Despite his success, Sherman stepped away from the spotlight in his later years to pursue a career in emergency medical services.
However, all is not well with the 81-year-old, who had previously announced that he has stage 4 cancer. His wife, Brigitte Poublon, recently came online to share a heartbreaking update about the “Little Woman” singer, revealing that his condition has now worsened.

In a recent interview with Fox News Digital, Poublon revealed that her husband’s health has deteriorated significantly, with the cancer now affecting nearly all of his organs. She explained that Sherman had been maintaining his mental strength, even working on crossword puzzles with her.
However, his condition deteriorated recently, leaving him increasingly lethargic as his body began to shut down, thus making him sleep more. Poublon stated that the illness has taken a toll on her husband, who now wants to be unbothered as he continues to battle with his cancer.

Since the public disclosure of Sherman’s cancer battle, Poublon revealed that her husband’s devoted followers have showered him with love and support. She explained that many of them made contact offering words of encouragement, as the family works through the difficult period.
She also noted that the family has received comfort from close friends, including Full House star, John Stamos. Who had previously worked with Sherman during his time as an ambassador for the Brigitte and Bobby Sherman Children’s Foundation. Poublon disclosed that Stamos sent his warm wishes via a video message, as she had advised against an in-person visit due to Sherman’s current condition.
