Five years after Fuller House ended, stars Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber have sparked conversations again, sharing their thoughts on having a Full House spinoff. Could there be a ‘Fullest House?’ Fans of the sitcom have long cherished the show for its heartwarming family moments, humor, and meaningful friendships.
The sitcom first premiered on ABC in 1987. It ran for eight seasons and later returned with Fuller House, a sequel series that aired on Netflix from 2016 to 2020. In a recent episode of their podcast How Rude, Tanneritos!, Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber answered a fan’s question about whether there is a chance of another Full House-style series.
Will there be a new ‘Full House’ spinoff in the near future?

The two actresses, Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber, who played Stephanie Tanner and Kimmy Gibbler, did not confirm any plans but did not rule them out. Instead, they speculated about what the spinoff could look like. One idea that Sweetin has been particularly fond of involves imagining the original characters living together in a retirement community years down the road.
She likens the concept to a Golden Girls-style sitcom, where the show would center on Stephanie, Kimmy, and D.J. in their old age with humor. Barber seemed to agree, pointing out that longtime fans would likely prefer to see more of the original cast rather than a newer generation.
A Fullest House?
With Fuller House concluded only a few years ago, the timing might not yet feel right for another series. Sweetin noted how much time had passed between the original Full House and Netflix’s Fuller House, suggesting that perhaps another 10 to 15 years could be the right window to revisit the characters meaningfully.
As for what such a series could focus on, Sweetin imagines the characters in their 60s, still maintaining their personalities, only now facing the challenges and fun of aging together. While nothing is official, a Fuller House spinoff idea has caught attention. Bob Saget’s passing in 2022 would certainly make any future project feel different, but fans would always love the Tanner family and Full House as a whole.
