For her brilliant portrayal of Avery, Constance earned a Soap Opera Digest award for Outstanding Actress in a Supporting Role on a Prime Time Serial, which was a surprise to her as she was uncertain about the film’s popularity among viewers. “When people started recognizing me, I would get very uncomfortable, which is my problem, it is not their problem,” she once said, recalling how her fame peaked thanks to Knots Landing’s success. We did one reunion episode, but another one this far down the line would be good,” Constance added. The 76-year-old currently enjoys life with her film director husband, Sam Weisman, with whom she shares two kids.
