Her hairstylist was Chris McMillan, the man behind Jennifer Aniston’s famous “Rachel” haircut. This time, though, he was creating something sleek, short, and totally summer-ready: the blunt bob.

Jenna took the leap in the show’s final hour as Leslie Bibb offered both support and encouragement. “You’re such a badass,” she said. “I love this.” Chris McMillan carefully snipped away the back first, and Leslie happily handed it over to her.
Jenna responded with: “Whoa, that’s so short.” But Chris assured her: the shorter back would highlight her natural color and make the look pop. “You can slick it, tuck it, wear it wavy or natural,” he later told Today.com. His goal was to keep it modern and sexy — something Jenna could style in multiple ways, like Jessica Biel or Charlize Theron.

While her co-hosts and the Today crew clapped and cheered, her daughter was not pleased. “Mom, don’t do it,” Jenna recalled her saying. “You’re gonna regret it.” Still, Jenna smiled and told viewers that they would see the full look the next day.
