Nearly 25 years after Beverly Hills, 90210 ended its 10-season run, 55-year-old Jason Priestley says that he and his former co-stars have stayed close. In a recent interview with PEOPLE, he shared that he regularly contacts most of the cast, noting that their unique shared experience forged a lasting bond among them.
Priestley explained that this special connection allows them to reach out to one another for support when needed. He admitted that such a profound experience is rare in Hollywood, but it has united them in a way.
Jason Priestley reflects on the dynamics between the ‘90210’ cast now
Although decades have gone by, Priestley says that the original dynamics between the 90210 cast have remained largely unchanged. When they reunite, they naturally fall back into the same routines they had in their twenties. This includes assuming the same roles within the group’s hierarchy, and he finds that amusing.
Priestley, who played Brandon Walsh, identifies as the “level-headed voice of reason” both on-screen and off. He continues to embrace this part during their gatherings, as he strives to keep everyone on the same page.
The ‘90210’ cast looks forward to their upcoming reunion
The 90210 cast is set to reunite at the upcoming ‘90s Con in Hartford, Connecticut. This event will bring together Priestley, Tori Spelling, Jennie Garth, Brian Austin Green, Ian Ziering, and Gabrielle Carteris. Sadly, the group will be incomplete due to the absence of Luke Perry and Shannen Doherty, who passed away in 2019 and 2024, respectively.
Priestley reflected on the loss of both co-stars, as both deaths were shocking and deeply felt. Perry’s passing was mostly unexpected, as there were no prior health concerns, unlike Doherty, who had a long battle with cancer. This did not make her death any less a surprise. Priestley cherishes the time he spent with her in recent years, ensuring that nothing was left unsaid between them.
