His illness began in 2018 and he has since then battled it with a determination to recover. However, Rich’s journey to recovery has not been a flawless one, there have been difficult times as well as great ones.

He appeared in the sitcom Reba for six years and has recently reunited with his co-stars. He noted that he felt the same way he did during the set of the original Reba show. Now, the 71-year-old is back on his feet, doing what he enjoys best.

Christopher Rich opens up about stroke and recovery

Christopher Rich suffered from a stroke and brain injury that kept a part of him paralyzed. In his interview with US Weekly on Wednesday, the 71-year-old spoke about his health issues and his attitude towards each situation. He recalled feeling as though he were “hit with an atomic bomb” when he became sick. It was like a hard reset for someone like him who enjoyed living an interesting life.

Not too long, the Reba star recovered from the stroke and brain injury and continued with his normal life. But this freedom was short-lived as he was soon back at the hospital after having blood clots and lung embolisms, but was treated again.
