Beth’s daughter Bonnie Chapman shared more about her mother’s difficult decision. She revealed that Beth initially attempted chemotherapy but experienced severe side effects like choking and severe hair loss, which led her to abandon the treatment altogether.
She stated that her mother’s wish was to maintain her physical appearance as much as possible regardless of her condition. Since chemotherapy was tampering with her looks, it had to go. Despite the challenges, Bonnie expressed admiration for her parents, especially Duane, who was a pillar of support for Beth until her last breath. Beth eventually passed away in Honolulu, Hawaii, in 2019.
