Where Is Richard Grieco Now?

Richard Grieco played Detective Dennis Booker alongside Johnny Depp’s Tom Hanson in the hit series 21 Jump Street, which ran for five seasons until 1991. The series fast became a fan-favorite, leading to two movies in 2012 and 2014, and even though Grieco was not present, he made a significant cameo for his supporters.

The 59-year-old retired from the entertainment industry in 2009, and from his active Instagram page, one can tell he is an artist—he calls his type of art ‘Abstract Emotionalism.’ He is also a musician, having released several projects since his debut in 1995.

Where is Richard Grieco now?

Grieco has leaned into a more private life to focus on his art, which he sells for thousands of dollars. He started his painting career in 1991, having sold his first work for $10,900. However, he did not go public about his impressive talent until Dennis Richard advised him to.

The former actor appears to be living well, as he now rocks shoulder-length hair with a quiff. He recently shared a photo that sent fans raving in his Instagram comments, as he looked unrecognizable from his 21 Jump Street days. “Wow that’s cool. some memories coming to my mind. I still have the movie on VHS, haha,” a user joked.

Multi-talented Richard Grieco

Before his acting phase, Richard worked as a model for Armani, Chanel and Calvin Klein, before landing his breakthrough role as Detective Dennis after his debut in the previous year’s One Life To Live. While his retirement still stands, he shared some behind-the-scenes of him directing The Wonder Bar.

Grieco is a father of one and shares his 25-year-old son with an ex-partner named Kimber Sissons. Concerned fans have speculated that Grieco may not be a present father as his son has only kept his mother’s surname. The reason for Kimber and Grieco’s split is unknown, but he dated Yasmine Bleeth right after for years.
