Caroline Rhea and Beth Broderick reunited for a newly released Hallmark movie ahead of the holidays, decades after playing Hilda and Zelda Spellman in Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Rhea took to Instagram to celebrate the reunion while giving her followers a peek into the Caroline Labrèche-directed movie.
The fun clip featured Rhea and Beth in costumes as they teased fans about what to expect. “We got to film in Montreal, which I fell back in love with. We play meddling Mothers who are complete opposites who try to help our kids find love,” they explained.

Rhea and Beth ignited some nostalgia in ‘90s kids as they took to the comments with excitement about Holiday Mismatch. “Absolutely fantastic!!! Love the Sabrina links! I’ll Absolutely be watching your holiday movie!!” someone exclaimed.
While Holiday Switch premiered on November 3, some fans hope Rhea and Beth will reunite again for a Sabrina reboot. “Please a movie with Melissa about Sabrina and you all this time later,” one of Rhea’s followers pleaded. “can we do another season of Sabrina and fire whoever needs to be fired that made the second season so drastically shitty compared to the first. cool. thanks,” another advised.
After ‘Sabrina’
After a successful run as a standup comedian, Rhea set her sights on Hollywood and struck fame almost immediately as Aunt Hilda on Sabrina the Teenage Witch. The hit opened her up to more opportunities, including Disney shows Phineas & Ferb and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.
Beth appeared in a handful of movies before landing the role of Zelda Spellman in Sabrina, where she also directed a few episodes. The 65-year-old explored theater as an actress and co-producer, her latest being the one-woman show Bad Dates. Aside from life behind the camera, Beth is committed to charity work via Momentum, which helps AIDS victims, and the Women’s Rehabilitation Program.
