Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell have been together since 1983. Their consistent devotion and love make them one of the longest-lasting and most inspiring Hollywood couples out there. But even these two need to maintain their communication skills as a couple – and Hawn and Russell were seen jokingly using puppets to do just that!
Actually, their little puppet antics see Russell and Hawn going back to their roots. They first met – even years before they started dating – on the 1968 Disney live-action adaptation of The One and Only, Genuine, Original Family Band. The puppets they used? Disney themed.

Russell and Hawn have stayed active as actors, but even off the set of their latest projects, it’s not uncommon to see the power couple out and about. Recently, the duo enjoyed a meal out – and they brought along some friends. On Instagram, Hawn shared a reel of herself and Russell at their table, joined by puppets of Donald Duck and Goofy.

“Working on our communication skills,” the post’s caption reads. They channeled their inner Disney stars, Hawn talking with Donald’s very particular way of speaking, while Russell mimicked Goofy and gave a good hearty hyuk of laughter at Hawn’s actions.
The secret to their success
Hawn and Russell remain a remarkable Hollywood couple for not only staying together so long, but also for determinedly not getting married. Many have, in the past, asked them why they never formally tied the knot. Despite the repeated questions and occasional pressures to do so, Hawn and Russell stand by their decision.
“I would have been long divorced if I got married,” said Hawn. “If you need to be bound to someone, then it’s important to be married. If you are independent, then it’s important to not be married.” Their kids, the couple says, haven’t cared about the absence of a wedding, and neither do they.
