LeAnn Rimes and her family suffered a medical scare when her husband Eddie Cibrian was sent to the E.R. The couple has been happily together since 2011, and this emergency marked a particularly troubling time Rimes called “traumatic.” Thankfully, Rimes has shared a new video that’s her first with Cibrian since his accident.
Rimes had said they would need to do a lot of healing early on and it seems they’re on a good track toward that goal, based on her latest updates. Her posts are back to a positive, hopeful mood – just in time for Halloween! They channeled the strength and fun of Top Gun for their costumes.

Last week, Rimes took to Instagram to share a video of her and Cibrian. The caption reads, “i feel the need… the need to trick o’treat,” complete with a grinning jack-‘o-lantern and the hashtags
#topgun #halloween #tomcruise #kellymcgillis #takemybreathaway. The accompanying post is just as festive both for the spooky holiday and the 1986 action film that recently enjoyed the successful release of its sequel, Top Gun: Maverick.

In the video, Rimes plays the role of Charlotte “Charlie” Blackwood, love interest to Maverick. And who should play Maverick himself? None other than her own real-life love interest, Eddie Cibrian. Both are decked out in clothing that is both stylish and faithful to the movie’s wardrobe for their respective characters. Eddie even has the right jumpsuit! It’s a promising look into their life after the recent health scare.
A welcome change of pace for Rimes and Cibrian
Back on October 21, Rimes took to Instagram to share the somber news that Cibrian had been involved in an accident. “Spend a prayer up for this man,” she said in the post. “He hurt himself today, and we spent all day in the ER! Today was traumatic, but healing is beginning now!” Fortunately, Cibrian himself has also since shared a hopeful post of his own.
It isn’t much; just a black-and-white picture of himself on Instagram. But seeing the couple back to posting fun pictures is a hopeful sign that things are heading back to normal. Since they got married in 2011, this year marks 11 years of their marriage. Here’s hoping they keep going strong!
