The career of Sarah Jessica Parker is well documented, though Parker’s family life is more private. More specifically, the daughters she shares with husband Matthew Broderick aren’t in the spotlight as much as mom is. But during a recent red carpet appearance, twins Marion and Tabitha were by her side for the special occasion.
It was a cause for celebration, the red carpet premiere of Hocus Pocus 2 in New York this Tuesday. Parker was joined by the whole family, Broderick as well as the 13-year-old siblings. Huffington Post notes that this is the first big family appearance since March, that time joined by their brother, James Wilkie Broderick.

Looking at Parker’s Instagram, it’s mostly business – such as promotions from Broadway voting in the category of Best Actress in a Play, or personal details like her reading list or fashion choice of the evening. There’s a distinct separation from family details and a push to keep Marion and Tabitha off social media that seems deliberate and is a decision favored by an increasing amount of high-profile figures because of the potential adverse effects the platforms can cause.

But Parker’s family was seen coming out to support her as one of her spookiest franchises returns to the big screen. Hocus Pocus 2 brings Parker together with Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy, and Doug Jones reprising their roles from the original 1993 film. It officially released on September 30, 2022, over Disney+.
Sarah Jessica Parker’s keeping family life strong
From 1984 to 1991, Parker had been in a relationship with Robert Downey Jr., which deteriorated due to RDJ’s drug habit. Another brief courtship reportedly also included John F. Kennedy before she ultimately married Broderick on May 19, 1997. Both met thanks to theater. By 2002, they welcomed their first child, son James, into the world, followed in 2009 by the twins via surrogacy.
An early episode of Who Do You Think You Are? told Parker that her family had actually been involved in the Salem Witch Trials, 330 years ago. Now, she is returning to the role of the musical, albeit ditzy witch Sarah Sanderson. Did you see the latest entry, and how did you like it?
