Don Johnson and Philip Michael Thomas are perhaps still best known as Sonny and Rico on Miami Vice. They played detective partners on the series in the 1980s and it turns out they are still great friends to this day. They are both now 72 years old.
Just last year, Don revealed that he still talks to Philip all the time. He added, “We stay in touch with each other. I love Philip. It’s very rare that you can say that you go to work with someone for 14 hours a day and for five years and never have a single argument. That speaks a lot about Philip, not about me.”

Both men continue to act and they even reunited on the show Nash Bridges years after working together on Miami Vice. Don starred in Nash Bridges and at the end of season two, he brought on his good friend Philip to play Cedrick Hawks. He came back to appear in an episode in 2001 as well.

Philip is working on a film called Whealthy and Wise while Don is currently starring in the series Kenan, alongside Saturday Night Live actor Kenan Thompson. It is great to see both of these stars active, working, and to know they still have a great friendship!
