- The song is “Chevys and Fords” and follows the success of Cyrus’s collaboration with rapper Lil Nas X for the song “Old Town Road.”
- Take a look at the official lyrics and video for the song here.
Following the comeback success of “Old Town Road,” Billy Ray Cyrus has released another new song. This time with singer-songwriter Johnny McGuire. They both sing on the new track called “Chevys and Fords,” reliving some of their glory days in the country with their old trucks.
The nostalgic song is a mix of country and rock and sounds like it was inspired by Bruce Springsteen. If you like to reminisce on the cars of your past, you will probably love this song! It is pretty crazy how popular Billy Ray Cyrus is becoming again. Previously, he was a one-hit-wonder with the song “Achy Breaky Heart.”

Read the nostalgic lyrics via AZ Lyrics:
Stole my first whiskey kiss on the back of one
Heard my first country song through the dash of one
Made millions of memories between those two doors
Yeah, I come from a long line of Chevys and Fords
Lots of beer cans and dolls have rode in the back
And Mom always wanted a Cadillac
But that was a few dollars more than we could afford
So I come from a long line of Chevys and Fords
They were red white and rusty
All dented up and dusty
They were sitting in that church parking lot every Sunday
Out in front of the bars
Or parked under the stars
With a girl in your arms who don’t want nothing more
Than a guy from a long line of Chevys and Fords

After the Friday night lights were done
We’d pick up our girls and go ride in one
We’d circle them up in a field of cut corn
‘Cause we come from a long line of Chevys and Fords
They were red white and rusty
All dented up and dusty
They were sitting in that church parking lot every Sunday
Out in front of the bars
Or parked under the stars
With a girl in your arms who don’t want nothing more
Than a guy from a long line of Chevys and Fords
When they broke down we’d cuss ’em and kick ’em some
Then we’d haul ’em back home and we’d fix ’em up
Drive to town and grab another six-pack from the store
Yeah, I come from a long line of

The lyrics end with:
Red white and rusty
All dented up and dusty
They were sitting in that church parking lot every Sunday
Out in front of the bars
Or parked under the stars
With a girl in your arms who don’t want nothing more
Than a guy from a long line of Chevys and Fords
And on the day that I get called back home to the Lord
I bet there’s a long line of Chevys and Fords
(That’s right)
Chevys and Fords and…
Thank you Lord, for my Chevy and Ford
