Conchata is known for playing Berta on the series. Conchata is also known for her roles in Mr. Deeds, Edward Scissorhands, and Erin Brockovich.\u00a0In May, she was first hospitalized after feeling sick and spent about a month in the ICU. During that time she went into cardiac arrest.\r\n\r\nNow she has been transferred to a long-term care facility and is on a respirator. She is also on dialysis. As of right now, Conchata is stable but unable to speak. Unfortunately, her husband Arnie Anderson is not able to visit due to the coronavirus pandemic.\r\nConchata Ferrell is currently being treated in a long-term care facility\r\n\r\n\r\nArnie said, "It's going to be a while before there's any recovery. It's all neurological. There's nothing we can do to speed it up the process.
