Singer Eddie Money has reportedly died after a battle with stage 4 esophageal cancer. He was 70 years old. Many people recognize Eddie Money for hits like \u201cBaby Hold On,\u201d \u201cTwo Tickets to Paradise,\u201d \u201cShakin'\u201d and \u201cTake Me Home Tonight\u201d.\r\n\r\nA statement has been issued by the family: \u201cThe Money Family regrets to announce that Eddie passed away peacefully early this morning. It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our loving husband and father. We cannot imagine our world without him. We are grateful that he will live on forever through his music.\u201d\r\nRemembering Eddie Money, who passes away from stage 4 esophageal cancer at 70 years old\r\n\r\n\r\nEddie Money was born on March 21st, 1949. He was an American singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist who found great success in the 1970s and '80s. The singer produced many Top 40 hits and platinum albums. More recently, Money had been part of a reality television show with his family by the name of Real Money.\r\n\r\nDuring the show, it would document his life at home in addition to his health struggles. This is back in April of this year.\r\nHealth struggles were common for him\r\n\r\n\r\nMoney dealt with an array of health struggles throughout his life. In 2001, he joins a 12-step program for alcohol\/drug addiction recovery. He was also a long-time smoker, so then brought the onset of his stage 4 esophageal cancer. He receives his cancer diagnosis just last month.\r\n\r\nMoney leaves behind his wife, Laurie, who have been married since 1989. He also leaves behind his children, Zachary, Jessica, Joseph, Julian, and Desmond.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nAll of us at DYR send well wishes to the family of Eddie Money. His legacy will continue to live on!
