Alec Baldwin has just premiered his reality television show, The Baldwins, on TLC. Premiered on February 23, 2025, the show gives the viewers an inside look into the life of Baldwin, along with his wife Hilaria, his seven kids, and their daily routine through the interactions in the busy household.

Following the premiere of The Baldwins, Alec Baldwin was sued with a wrongful death lawsuit by Halyna Hutchins’s family. Baldwin was alleged to have proceeded with the reality show without remorse, attempting to pretend that everything was fine despite the gravity of the 2021 Rust film set incident where Hutchins died.
Gloria Allred, representing Hutchins’ parents and sister, blamed him for putting out a reality show projecting his happy family life while Hutchins’ family continues to grieve their loss. She noted that Baldwin has yet to call Hutchins’ family to apologize or own up to what occurred. Industry experts believe that Baldwin is trying to revive his public image after the Rust shooting tragedy with his new reality show. However, this is not working as ratings for the show have plummeted significantly from its very first episode, resulting in it being one of the lowest-rated TLC shows.
Critics are protesting that the timing and taste of the show is insensitive, given the outstanding legal matters and recent tragedy. They believe that the effort of Baldwin to showcase his family could be perceived as an attempt to get people to sympathize with him and shift their focus away from pending legal proceedings.
