The last time that Gilligan’s Island cast members were all together on-screen and in character was in 1992, though some of the original cast members had passed away by this time. Alan Hale Jr., Jim Backus, and Natalie Schafer were no longer on the show, and it seems Russell Johnson and Tina Louise weren’t available or willing to participate.
The show debuted in the 1960s and was immediately popular on U.S. television with its tale of a group of quirky castaways on a deserted island. Although there was a reunion by some of the cast, unfortunately, it never appeared on American television.
Which ‘Gilligan’s Island’ reunion did not appear in the U.S.?

In the late 90s, Meego featured a reunion of the Gilligan’s Island cast in the episode “Mommy ‘n’ Meego.” The story involves Meego, an alien character, attempting to call his mother on another planet but instead reached Gilligan. Gilligan, on the other line using a coconut radio, desperately pleads to be rescued.
Then the Professor appears, only to forget their coordinates, and Mary Ann enters and requests some moisturizer. The comedic moment is interrupted when Meego breaks the connection, much to the disappointment of the castaways.
What were the other reunions ‘Gilligan’s Island’ cast had?
The enduring popularity of Gilligan’s Island led to many reunion appearances by the original cast on other television shows. In 1988, the original cast reunited for a special episode of “The Late Show with Ross Shafer.” The reunion took place on a specially constructed set and was particularly for fans of the show.
Additionally, in 1987, some of the Gilligan’s Island characters appeared during an episode of Baywatch. In the episode titled “Now Sit Right Back and You’ll Hear a Tale,” however, at the end of the episode, it is discovered that Gilligan and Mary Ann were not actually real, and all that happened during that Baywatch episode was part of a dream.
