English model Twiggy attended a special event at The Fashion And Textile Museum in London, England, with her husband of 36 years, Leigh Lawson. They both joined the exclusive guests for a private view of The Biba Story, 1964-1975 exhibition, which pays homage to the famous London fashion store of that era.
The former America’s Next Top Model judge wore a long black blazer and matching pants. She toned it down with a white shirt and colorful accessories, including a green bag. Leigh complemented his wife’s look with a simple all-black outfit and a white paisley scarf.

Twiggy and her beau posed for several photos and could not keep their hands off each other either. The couple came together in 1988 after they had separated from their previous partners. Twiggy was married to her first husband, the late Michael Witney— with whom she shares her daughter, Carly Witney, while Leigh shares a son, Jason Lawson, with his ex-wife Mondy.

In a previous interview, Twiggy admitted theirs was not always a perfect marriage. However, they have learned to be “a little gentler” on themselves. “Leigh and I have been together for 38 years, which is frightening! I suppose luck has a lot to do with it. You never know when you meet somebody how it’s all going to turn out or what life is going to throw at you,” she said.
What is Twiggy up to these days?
Lately, the 74-year-old has been working on her upcoming Ben Elton-directed West End show, Close Up: The Twiggy Musical, which is based on her life. “I only get involved with projects that really spark something in me, with people I love and want to work with,” she told Good Housekeeping last August. “The musical came about when we were having dinner about six years ago and Elton said, half-jokingly, ‘I should do your story! It’s an amazing story set in an amazing period— I should write it.’”
Twiggy, who also has a documentary being developed and directed by Sadie Foster, said her career as a model and actress was never the plan. “I’ve spent my life doing things that I didn’t plan to do…definitely didn’t plan to do a musical film with Ken Russell. And I certainly didn’t plan to star on Broadway in a big musical. I must be mad!” she exclaimed.
Aside from work, the grandmother of five has been taking to pilates lately, which she says has done wonders for her figure. “I went to a wonderful osteopath who recommended Pilates…and it’s the best thing I have ever done in my life. I wish I had started earlier. It has changed my life,” she gushed, adding that she has “really built up the strength in my core and my back.”
