Over five decades later, supermodel Twiggy recreates one of her iconic photographs featured in a Vogue issue from November 1967. 74-year-old Twiggy made the comeback in collaboration with eBay to promote their “Decades of Authenticity” offering.
The original image was taken for a feature story titled “What Makes Fashion Tick: Accessories to Watch” in the classic Vogue issue. The legendary photo was taken by Bert Stern, who is also famous for his portraits of Marilyn Monroe.
Twiggy’s timeless photo
Twiggy wore a wool chenille jumpsuit by Pattie Tuttman for Silverworm, accessorized with a chunky gold Oster chain bracelet looped around a Vacheron Constantin watch. She complimented her outfit with a Louis Vuitton Papillon handbag over her shoulder for the famous pose.

“I actually remember the shoot quite well. I was booked to work with Bert Stern. He was the first Vogue photographer I worked with,” Twiggy said, adding that she enjoyed working with Burt, and it felt like fun and not work at the time.
Twiggy recreated an old shoot to promote sustainability
The recreated shoot for eBay featured a carefully curated selection of luxury accessories for the online auction’s site. “Going back in time to recreate a shot by Bert Stern that I did in 1967 with the lovely Campbell Addy photographing me wearing luxury accessories from eBay,” an elated Twiggy said.
She admitted that she loved working with eBay to promote sustainability and vintage around as it is becoming ‘a very big thing all around the world.’ “I think it’s a wonderful collaboration that eBay has joined up with Vogue,” she said. “And that’s lovely because fashion is circular anyway. It goes round and comes around.”
