Actors Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick welcomed their first child, son Travis Bacon, in 1989, and the 34-year-old has grown to follow in their footsteps in the entertainment industry. Travis is a producer, composer, musician, and a part of the industrial metal band CONTRACULT Collective.
The self-acclaimed goth is known for his signature look, which features long dark hair, tattoos, black clothing, and eye makeup. However, this is a drastic change from his previous appearance, which his dad revealed via a throwback photo on Instagram.

Kevin shared an old photo from the set of 2000’s Hollow Man, and in it, Travis wore a red striped T-shirt and kept his hair blonde and short — a big contrast from his appearance today. “This is what happens when dad is an actor and you have your tenth birthday on set,” the film star’s caption read. Also in the shot was Travis’ younger sister, Sosie, who wore a black top and made a funny pose with both hands up.

Fans were surprised to see how unrecognizable Travis looked, and they could not hold back their shock in the comments. “T has always had a great vibe,” someone noted. “You are hilarious, and those 2 sweethearts sure had a lot of fun!” another added, referring to Travis and Sosie. The snap also brought back a lot of memories for those who watched the scary movie. “One of my favorite movies!” a user exclaimed.
Kevin tried to sway his son from the spotlight
Travis has proven to be multi-talented and multifaceted, being a guitarist for a black metal band, Black Anvil — as well as an audio engineer and songwriter. The Los Angeles-born music star has worked with his parents on several projects, including 2022’s Space Oddity, featuring Kevin and directed by Kyra.
Kevin and Kyra have previously admitted to being opposed to Travis’ career path due to their negative experiences. However, they realized it is best to have kids follow their dreams. “We were only thinking about the struggle. And you want your children to live a life with as little struggle as possible,” Kevin said, with Kyra adding that, “It is difficult being in this business, knowing how hard it is even when you’re successful.” So far, Travis has proven to be successful in his choice, and Kevin could not be more proud.
