During an episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, Kelly Clarkson asked singer Cher about her friendship with actress Jennifer Aniston. Kelly had heard that Jennifer and Cher have known each other for a very long time and she asked, “Is it true that Jennifer Aniston would come over to play at your house as a little girl in the ’70s?”
Cher responded, “As a teenager, I mean as like a middle teenager. And (she would) eat me out of house and home. The girls always used to, they knew when I went to Balducci’s (grocery store), and they would just show up and just chow down. And (Aniston) was a big chow down-er.”

During this time, Jennifer was attending the High School of Performing Arts. Of course, Jennifer got her big break in Friends as Rachel Green but she got her start not too long after graduating high school. In the early ’90s, she appeared in Molloy and the Ferris Bueller series.

Kelly loved Cher’s story about Jennifer and asked if anyone knew that Jennifer would become such a famous actress at the time. Cher explained that she believes it is better for someone’s talent to speak for themselves.
She said she knows from history. Her mother reportedly would always tell people that her daughter could sing and no one believed her! Cher said, “My mom used to say to anybody she met, ‘I have a daughter who sings.’ Well the minute you say that, people just turn (their attention) off.” Of course, the minute they heard her sing they could not deny her immense talent.
