A MESSAGE FROM CATHERINE, THE PRINCESS OF WALES
The Princess of Wales first announced her cancer diagnosis publicly in March 2024 after undergoing medical treatment and preventative chemotherapy. She later confirmed in early 2025 that she had entered remission and planned to slowly return to royal responsibilities.
Kate Middleton cancer recovery updates have remained limited because the royal family has chosen not to publicly reveal the exact type of cancer she faced. However, she has steadily resumed appearances at events and official engagements over recent months. The Italy visit marks an especially important milestone because it is her first solo international trip since before her diagnosis. The last time she traveled alone outside the United Kingdom occurred in 2022 during an official visit to Denmark.
