Coca-Cola Brings Back 17-Year-Old Discontinued Flavor And It Makes Us Nostalgic For Summer

Coca-Cola Lime, a once-popular variation of the iconic beverage, has returned to store shelves after being discontinued in 2007. The drink, which blends the classic Coca-Cola flavor with a hint of lime juice, first launched in 2005 but was removed from production just two years later. Its recent reappearance has sparked significant interest among nostalgic fans.

The news of Coca-Cola Lime’s return was initially shared by the NewFoodUK Facebook Page, where it quickly gained traction. Excited consumers expressed their enthusiasm, with one commenter noting they “needed” to try it, while another described the beverage as “refreshing.” The re-release caters to those who enjoyed the convenience of the pre-flavored beverage, eliminating the need for adding fresh lime to their drinks.

Coca-Cola Lime is making a comeback – for how long?

The revived Coca-Cola Lime is currently available in eight-can packs at Farmfoods, a UK retailer with over 300 locations nationwide. Customers can locate their nearest store using the Farmfoods store finder.

Shoppers are advised to contact their local branch before visiting to confirm availability, as Coca-Cola has yet to confirm if the product’s return is permanent or a limited-time offer. This reintroduction marks Coca-Cola Lime’s first return in nearly two decades, but it is not the only nostalgic flavor the brand has revived. In November, Coca-Cola Cinnamon made a brief comeback. Originally introduced as a seasonal offering in 2019, the cinnamon-flavored beverage received mixed reviews during its return, with some consumers calling the flavor “wrong” and others appreciating its unique taste.

Additionally, Coca-Cola recently collaborated with Oreo to create a hybrid product combining the flavors of the soft drink and the cookie. This unusual offering is available through select retailers.

While the “full fat” Coca-Cola Lime has reemerged, its counterpart, Diet Coke Lime, has remained available in major supermarkets since its launch in 2020. The return of Coca-Cola Lime reflects a broader trend of brands reintroducing discontinued products to tap into consumer nostalgia and drive demand.

Coca-Cola has not yet clarified whether Coca-Cola Lime will become a permanent addition to its product lineup or remain a limited-time offering. Details about its availability at other retailers or pricing outside Farmfoods are also pending confirmation.

As consumers flock to purchase this citrus-infused beverage, its revival highlights the enduring appeal of nostalgic products in today’s competitive market. For now, Coca-Cola Lime offers fans a chance to relive a classic flavor that many have missed for nearly 20 years.
