Kelsea Ballerini, Chase Stokes, and other stars turned heads at the Parkinson’s research fundraiser, A Country Thing Happened on the Way to Cure Parkinson’s, held Wednesday night in Nashville. The evening brought together country singers, Hollywood stars, and heartfelt stories in support of the Michael J. Fox Foundation’s ongoing mission to find a cure for Parkinson’s disease.
Ballerini graced the red carpet in a strapless black gown with a statement keyhole cutout that revealed her toned abs. The dress was accented by a dainty bow at the neckline, matched by similar bows on her black heels. The country star complemented the look with her sleek black clutch and minimal jewelry, while her boyfriend, Chase Stokes, wore a dark suit jacket over a blue shirt and classic slacks. The couple posed alongside Michael J. Fox.

Michael J. Fox’s foundation has become a global leader in Parkinson’s research over the years, and the fundraising event provided a means for other stars to support him and the foundation. Sheryl Crow also attended, wearing an all-black look with a leather vest, studded jacket, and sleek pants. The nine-time Grammy winner has been a long-time friend and supporter of Fox’s foundation.
Country superstar Chris Stapleton performed songs, including “Tennessee Whiskey” and “Broken Halo.” He later welcomed Little Big Town to join him on stage for a rendition of “Johnny B. Goode.” Members of Little Big Town, Karen Fairchild paired a bold orange minidress with fishnet stockings and a jacket, while Kimberly Schlapman wore a black minidress. Jimi Westbrook and Phillip Sweet appeared in suits.

Kimberly Schlapman’s mother battled Parkinson’s. From the experience, Kimberly shared how the disease has touched her family. She has once opened up on her Instagram account about how “incredibly complex and devastatingly debilitating” the disease was. She and her husband served as event co-chairs.
As the evening came to a close, Michael J. Fox thanked the performers, guests, and supporters for their commitment to making the Nashville event a reminder of unity in music and advocacy, and for how the entertainment world continues to rally around causes that matter.
