Lexi Jones, daughter of the late music icon David Bowie and supermodel Iman, has officially released her first album, Xandri. The 24-year-old, whose full name is Alexandria Zahra Jones, teased her new music throughout the week on Instagram.
Along with audio snippets, she also shared never-before-seen home videos from her childhood. Her followers pointed out how much her singing voice reminded them of her father’s, with one commenting that they both had a clear resemblance even with their music taste.

Lexi’s debut album Xandri was released on Wednesday across major streaming platforms. The album’s title is from a Greek word that means “defender of mankind.” It features songs like “Through All The Time”, “Moving On”, and “Standing Alone”.
These songs reflect personal themes, and the entire project is a tribute to her late father, who passed away in 2016. Lexi wrote and produced all twelve songs herself and even designed the album art. Her decision to share videos of her singing with her dad clips around the album’s release shows how strongly the project is connected to her father’s memories.

Lexi and David Bowie were known to be very close. After Lexi was born, sources said her presence encouraged him to slow down and become more focused on his health and family, especially after he suffered a heart attack. On the anniversary of Bowie’s death last year, she posted a video of herself as a child playing piano in a studio with her father beside her. She also shared an old photo of the two and captioned it with a short note about how much she missed him.
Following Bowie’s death, Lexi said she experienced a difficult period. She described going through emotional pain and becoming isolated, which led to strained relationships. Over time, she started creating more artwork and music, which helped her work through that period. Xandri is the result of that creative process and marks her official entry into the music scene.
