The son of the late Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin has surprised fans with a daring new modeling campaign. In a series of racy ads for Australian underwear brand Bonds, Robert Irwin ditched his khakis and posed in nothing but his skivvies.
Robert is known for his conservation work and animal expertise, so this new venture marks an unexpected shift in his career. Irwin’s decision to participate in the campaign is part of his desire to try new things and connect with a broader audience while promoting his message of wildlife conservation.

For Robert, the decision to participate in this bold underwear campaign was a no-brainer. Because Bonds is such an iconic brand in Australia, Irwin was stoked at the opportunity to do something new and challenge himself. He even claimed that the experience gave him an adrenaline rush, which he adores as part of his action-packed lifestyle.
Robert did not hesitate to pose alongside snakes, lizards, and other exotic animals, noting that he has wrangled crocs and snakes since childhood. He was surrounded by wildlife during the shoot, with the only difference being that he was in his underwear.
Preparing for the shoot with his family’s support
In preparation for the shoot, Robert focused on getting into top shape, hence he increased his workouts and even cut back on carbs. He also received support from his family, including his brother-in-law Chandler, a professional athlete.
Irwin sees his modeling gig as a way to bring awareness to wildlife conservation, which is a cause close to his heart. As long as his cheeky ads help promote his father’s legacy of animal conservation, Robert is proud of his involvement in the campaign. His family stands behind him and is also excited to bring this important message to a broader audience.
