William Daniels, the actor who captivated fans from the days of Boy Meets World, recently turned 98 years old. Unsurprisingly, the actor shared that he would spend his birthday with some peace and quiet, surrounded by close family.
However, his wife, Bonnie Bartlett, whom he has been married to since 1951, shared that despite his desire for a calm birthday, the celebration is special to them. Bartlett and Daniels made Emmy Awards history in 1986 when they became the second real-life married couple to win acting awards on the same night.

Interestingly, the couple met when they were both students at Northwestern University, and after a few years of dating, they wed in 1951 and have been together ever since. “That’s the thing. This seems to be very special that a couple who both are actors live so long and together for so long, it seems to be unique,” Bonnie explains. “I’m sure there are lots of couples out there on farms or businesses, other things. Doctors don’t live that long, but a married couple that are actors living that long? That’s special.”
William’s son, Michael Daniels, will be part of the celebration. Additionally, William has made plans to meet an old friend who is also his boxing trainer for a special breakfast.
William Daniels remains active in the industry despite his age
William Daniels’ career began at just five years old, and his impact on the entertainment world has been massive. While he is best known as Mr. Feeny in Boy Meets World, he has also earned recognition as Dr. Mark Craig in St. Elsewhere, winning two Primetime Emmy Awards for his exceptional acting.
Even at 98, William remains active in his craft. Recently, he completed some voice work, including a project that featured his Knight Rider character, KITT. Fans still admire his dedication to his work; they also continue to show their appreciation for William and Bonnie’s work by heading to their official website, where they can purchase autographed memorabilia from the couple.
